ASTM 316 Stainless Steel Coil Overview

316 Stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel molybdenum stainless and heat-resisting steel, has an excellent corrosion resistance particularly against pitting versus other chromium-nickel steels, especially when exposed to different chemicals. 316Ti is a titanium stabilize version of 316 molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The 316 alloys are more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as 304.
