316L stainless steel custom C-Channel #4 finish is the brushed finish commonly seen on kitchen appliances and backsplashes. The 316L stainless steel custom C-Channel #4 finish has a PVC film on one side to help protect against scratching during fabrication and installation. Our 316L stainless steel custom C-Channel #4 finish meets the criteria for both the #3 and #4 finish.
If the 316L stainless steel custom C-Channel #4 finish is under 48" long, the customer has a choice on which way the grain of the brushed finish runs (for a 10% extra cost). To choose the direction of the grain, select “Custom Length†in Step 3 and select any length up to 48â€. You can then select “Yes†on the Grain Direction Preference box.
Unlike structural, extruded C- Channel, our custom C-Channel will be cut to your specifications and bent in a press break. Therefore, our custom C-Channel will give customers more variety of fabrication options, including a wide range of bending angles, hemmed edges (on thinner gauge material), flange options, uneven leg sizes, etc.
On our custom C-Channel made out of material with a finished side, Stainless Supply also offers the choice of which side the finish side is placed on the custom C-Channel, which can be selected in Step 2 of the Cost Calculator. For #4 brushed finish, #8 mirror finish, and Bright Annealed (BA) finish stainless steel, the finished side will have a protective film on it to help prevent scratching until the product is delivered. On our smooth finish and tread plate aluminum, there may or may not be a protective film on the material as it is not industry standard to have PVC film. Please contact Stainless Supply if you prefer a scratch free side on mill finish aluminum and a sales representative can verify if it is possible on the aluminum custom C-Channel that is being ordered.

To strengthen a roof, 316 stainless steel channel is used in rafters for light-duty roofing. It provides the same strength as wood without the risk of rot or decay. Steel channel is lightweight and manages to last longer than wood in such applications
316 Stainless steel channels are superb alternatives to conventional wooden studs in walls. Exactly like roofing, steel removes the likelihood of rot and decay and improves the strength of the entire structure. With steel channels, strong screws are necessary to hang heavier wall decorations.
316 Stainless steel channel, along with wood, work together to provide a hard and reliable structure. Many manufacturers decide to place steel channels around wood beams to combine wood’s simple to use nature with the firmness of steel—or to design end cap support to embrace wood together with confidence.
If you require a strong trailer for transportation equipment, then steel channels would make an economical and long-lasting choice. A little bit of welding and reinforcing is required to create a trailer that will last for years.
316 Stainless steel channels provide your structure an unbeatable strength, as a steel-framed building is extremely tough to smash, and it is resistant to fire, heat, corrosion and moisture as well. Today, the use of stainless steel channel alongside other steel products are widely used for industrial structures as well.
Engineers across the globe have confidently used stainless steel channels to carry out projects previously deemed to be impossible. They have built giant skyscrapers to extensive bridges that have remained intact for hundreds of years with the help of these channels. Custom metal fabrication is now opening limitless possibilities to a wide range of superior structural steel shapes for any kind of project.
By employing the state-of-the-art tools and techniques, such as plasma cutting, metal fabricators and water jet and laser, it is easy to mould steel into numerous shapes for specific needs. The experienced metal fabricators can help you with custom metal fabrication using steel channels.
Strength-To-Weight Advantages – The physical and structural nature of stainless steel allows a higher strength-to-weight ratio than other metals.
Aesthetic Appeal – 316 Stainless steel channels are bright and simple to retain, hence they offer a contemporary and appealing appearance to your structure.
Easy Fabrication – It is widely used in fabrication owing to the use of modern steel-making methods, which permit stainless steel to be cut, fabricated, machined, welded, and formed, as readily as traditional steels.
High Resistance Power – It has high corrosion resistance, which allows it to be used even in harsh environments. It is resistance to heat and fire as well, which allows it to resist scaling and retain strength at high temperatures also. It is capable of resisting water, acids, alkaline solutions, and chlorine bearing environments commonly used in process plants.
Improved Hygiene – 316 Stainless steel channels can be cleaned easily, due to which it is a primary choice where strict hygienic guidelines are required, such as hospitals, kitchens, slaughterhouses and other food processing plants.
